COVID-19 response: Updated on April, 2nd 2020
On April 1, 2020, the Governor of Pennsylvania, Tom Wolf, issued a stay-at-home order for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Per the governor’s March 19 order, all non-life-sustaining business closures remain in effect, while all essential state services and life-sustaining business will continue to operate.
The Governor published a comprehensive list of life-sustaining businesses that may continue to operate during this pandemic, including ‘Pharmaceutical and Medicine Manufacturing’ organizations, such as Sharp.
Our pharmaceutical and clinical packaging facilities in Allentown, Bethlehem and Conshohocken P.A. will all continue to operate. Sharp will continue to adhere to the directions issued by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and all local government authorities during this pandemic. Sharp has also put in place many additional initiatives to ensure employee health and safety across all of our facilities.
All of us at Sharp remain fully committed to supporting our clients and their patients, ensuring the drug products and medicine that we package are delivered to those that need them most. We are very proud of the important part we play in bringing medicines to patients around the world and never more so than at this challenging time.
