- Mike O'Hara
Managing Director & President
Mike is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 25 years’ experience and a proven track record of delivering strong results for healthcare organisations. He’s held executive business positions in operations, supply chain, quality and commercial functions. Prior to joining Sharp, Mike was Global Head of Contract Manufacturing at SteriPack. His previous roles include Senior Vice President of Operations at Smith & Nephew and Group Vice President of Operations at Boston Scientific.
- Simon Hayes
VP Continuous Improvement & Customer Experience
Simon joined Sharp in July 2013 as Divisional Finance Director. He qualified as an accountant with the ACCA in 1993 and has over 22 years’ experience, working with privately owned companies and large international PLCs including Unilever, Lufthansa and Origin Enterprises.
Simon has held a number of senior executive positions in finance, general management, integration and strategy, spanning a diverse range of industries including industrial chemicals, call centre management, soft commodity trading, fast-moving consumer goods distribution, agriculture and corporate restructuring.
- Ray Reilly
Divisional VP, Human Resources
Ray joined Sharp in mid-2016 and leads our People Function across the globe. He is the HR Business partner to the President of the business and is a member of the Sharp Executive Team and the UDG HR Leadership Team. Ray establishes the human capital strategy for the Division in collaboration with the wider UDG organization and ensures the Global HR Strategy supports the local business initiatives.
Ray has over 20 years’ experience in the medical outsourcing field and has a wide breadth of experience in hospital setting operations. He has worked extensively in Global Group level HR Leadership, client management as well as merger and acquisition leadership in large, mid-size and smaller US-based organizations. Ray has a Professional in Human Resources certification, a Masters in Human Resources and Industrial Relations and a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Restaurant and Institutional Management.
- Jeffrey Benedict
SVP Global Business Development
Jeffrey has been Senior Vice President of Global Business Development for Sharp since 2008. Before joining Sharp, he worked for Alcoa Packaging for 13 years, in roles including Sales Director, Technical Director and National Accounts Manager.
Prior to joining Alcoa, Jeffrey served in the US Army as a combat arms officer in the United States, Europe and Middle East, and is a decorated veteran. He has a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration and a Master’s Equivalency from the United States Army in Organization and Tactics.
- Barbara Ost
VP Quality Assurance
Barbara joined Sharp in 2010 and is responsible for providing corporate direction for quality activities at all our sites worldwide. She conducts regulatory and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) assessments on new and ongoing projects, as well as providing direction for GMPs, validation and clinical activities.
Before joining Sharp, Barbara was Vice President of Quality Assurance for Bilcare Inc, Associate Director of Worldwide GMP Compliance for Merck & Co, and held several roles within Johnson & Johnson. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and has served on the boards of the Mid-West Clinical Supply Group and the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Division of the American Society of Quality.

Rick L. Seibert
SVP Project Management & Technology Services
Rick has 20 years’ experience, and is our Senior Vice President of Project Management & Technology Services. He joined Sharp in 2004 after holding senior roles at B. Braun Medical.
Rick has a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Sciences, a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, a Master of Science in Manufacturing System Engineering, a Master of Business Administration in Management, a post-Master of Business Administration Graduate Certificate in Pharmaceutical Marketing and a Graduate Certificate in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Practices.
He is also certified in Production and Inventory Management by APICS, has a Project Management Professional Certification from the Project Management Institute and has aGreen Belt Six Sigma Certification from Villanova University.
- David Thomson
SVP Finance & Divisional Chief Financial Officer
David Thomson has been our Senior Vice President Finance and Divisional Chief Financial Officer since 2000. He joined Sharp after seven years with B. Braun Medical. He has over 23 years’ experience, including high-level roles at Arthur Anderson and the Marriot Corporation.
David has a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics, specialising in accounting, as well as a Master of Business Administration in Finance. He’s a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and a member of the Financial Executive Institute, the American Institute of CPAs and the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs.
- Roel Kerkhof
MD, Sharp Packaging Services EU
Roel is Managing Director of EU Packaging Operations for our packaging facility in his home country of Belgium.
He started working for Sharp in October 2012 and was Site Director at our former TD Packaging facility in the UK, before rationalising and transferring a substantial part of our UK business to the Netherlands and becoming Site Director there. Roel’s background is in Applied Economics and he brings us over 30 years’ experience in a variety of different businesses.
- Frank Lis
President, Sharp Clinical Services
Frank has over 20 years’ experience in contract drug development organisations, with responsibilities including operations, quality and business development. He has built analytical, formulation development, clinical manufacturing and clinical supply chain organisations, developing strategic growth plans that have delivered double-digit revenue and growth.
Before joining Sharp, Frank was Vice President of Innovation and Strategic Accounts at Catalent Pharma Solutions. Previous roles include Vice President and General Manager of Catalent’s clinical supply services business and Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Cardinal Health PT&S.
- John Morrison
General Manager, Sharp Clinical Services USA
John is General Manager of Sharp Clinical Services USA, and an Economics graduate with over 24 years’ experience in the clinical trial packaging and logistics market. Before joining us, he was General Manager of Clinical US Operations for Catalent Pharma Solutions, where he was responsible for significant growth in both revenue and operating profits.
Prior to joining Catalent, John held several director-level roles at international clinical trial packaging and distribution companies, including Aptuit LLC and Omnicare Pharmaceuticals.
- Ian Morgan
General Manager, Sharp Clinical Services UK
Ian has worked in the pharmaceutical industry since 1978 and is a Charted Chemist. He joined Sharp in 2009 as General Manager of our Clinical Services business in the United Kingdom.
Before moving into contracting, Ian worked in quality and manufacturing for Bayer Schering Pharmaceuticals. He has extensive experience in the global clinical trials market, having worked as Customer Service Director at Fisher Clinical Services, implemented clinical trial packaging and distribution for Piramal Healthcare and run clinical trial production and distribution for Quintiles Sciences in Edinburgh.
