As the geopolitical situation in the Middle East continues to evolve, Sharp Clinical is actively managing the resulting disruptions to regional logistics and operations. Our primary focus is the security of your supply chain and the integrity of your clinical materials.
Sharp remains in close communication with our regional operations teams and our carrier partners to evaluate potential solutions to minimize disruption wherever possible. However, the environment remains fluid and challenging, as we are navigating airspace closures, flight suspensions, and broader disruptions which are affecting both local and international supply chains in the region. We are monitoring any impacted shipments, and where necessary, assessing alternative route and transport options with our courier partners.
As of today – March 13th, 2026 – the following countries have closed their airspace or are operating under heavy restrictions:
- Israel
- Bahrain
- Iraq
- Kuwait
- Qatar
- United Arab Emirates
- Saudi Arabia
In addition, the volatility in global energy markets is increasing the cost of distribution, meaning shipments may be subject to a fluctuating fuel surcharge.
We ask that you notify your Sharp Project Manager as early as possible if you have upcoming urgent or high-priority shipment requests to the impacted regions so that we can evaluate transportation options and mitigate delays. We will remain vigilant in monitoring events in the region on your behalf.
