Sharp, part of UDG Healthcare plc, has announced that Mike O’Hara has joined as Divisional Managing Director.

In this role, Mike will have global responsibility for the Sharp Division, managing both the commercial packaging and the clinical business units. Sharp Packaging Services, comprises of Sharp Packaging Solutions and Sharp Clinical Services.

Working from state-of-the-art facilities across the US and Europe, Sharp provides unique and often complex commercial and clinical packaging solutions to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

Mike is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 25 years of experience and a proven track record of delivering business results in numerous healthcare organisations. He has held executive business positions with multiple healthcare organizations supporting Operations, Supply Chain, Quality and Commercial functions.

Prior to joining Sharp, Mike was Global Head of Contract Manufacturing at SteriPack. Previous roles include Senior Vice President of Operations at Smith & Nephew and Group Vice President of Operation at Boston Scientific.
